The antidote to modern life…
The world goes out of its way to make us feel ‘less than’. We're all striving so hard to be good enough, successful enough, calm enough, healthy enough, wealthy enough, it's no surprise we feel so anxious and overwhelmed all the time!
But here's the thing…
You know very well that when you're at your best—fully present to what's right under your nose—you're more than capable of handling whatever life throws at you. We all are. It's how we're built.
And that's what the Daily Reminders are all about: pointing you back to that inner-wisdom. And showing you how much easier that is to access, than you might imagine.
“We're all conditioned to look outside of ourselves for peace and wellbeing. The Daily Reminders help us to look toward where these things are actually found! It's a refreshing and positive take on being human… something we all need right now.” ~ Eric, USA.

What are the Daily Reminders like?
The Daily Reminders go out at 7am each day and typically take less than 4 minutes to read. Think of them as a fun and helpful page-a-day that gets you in the right frame of mind, before the onslaught begins.
“A daily dose of loveliness. I smile when I read them.” ~ Michelle, UK
They're Practical
Sometimes the Daily Reminders are very practical – giving you the understanding you need to face everyday adversity, like this one (click on the card below, to read):
This one explores the MECHANICS of how our human experience works.
“These emails are like anti-spam software for your mind, getting rid of all the junk.” ~ Ross, UK
They're Insightful
Then there are Daily Reminders that look at the process of change itself; inviting you to look in a different direction for the answers you seek, like this one (click on the card below, to read):

Posts like this I call the FOUNDATIONS of this understanding. It's different from what you're used to!
“A whole new way of thinking about thought - I love them!” ~ Vanessa, Australia
They're Focused
Some Daily Reminders are zoomed in on a very specific topic, like this one, on Relationships (and you can absolutely expect this level of irreverence in your inbox, daily):

The IMPLICATIONS of seeing the principles behind our experience. (I get there in the end.)
“I love these Daily Reminders. Please don't stop sending them.” ~ Julia, UK
They're Spiritual
And sometimes we just drop all the Psychology and look inwards, having deeper, philosophical explorations of self and topics like non-duality, consciousness and free will, like in this one (click on the card below, to read):
I often save up the TRUE NATURE pieces for what I call the “Sunday Spiritual” Daily Reminder
“The Daily Reminders are well written, lively, human and a great, loving jolt of inspiration. Thank you Giles!” ~ Barb, Canada
Most importantly, they're REAL
You know, when I was creating this home for the Daily Reminders, and had to choose a strap-line for my website directory entry, I almost chose this (instead of “Think less. Live more.”):

I feel so strongly about being authentically human with you, I have put together a pledge of sorts. This is what you can expect from me, if you choose to join the community (click the down arrow ▽ to read it).
The Daily Reminders Pledge 📝
✅ Here for YOU.
Whenever I sit down to write, I do it with YOU in mind. What's going to help? is my guiding light, as I start typing. That's what the Daily Reminders are. I'm a doctor – it's all I've ever really wanted, and this is the outlet I've found. Many of you tell me that I'm part of your Mental Health-care routine, and I take that responsibility seriously.
🚫 Not funded by Ads.
So much stuff on the internet these days is intrusive Ads, interspersed with a little bit of content. It's a funding model, but it's not one I'll be using. The Daily Reminders are Member-supported. To be clear, I want you to be led by your curiosity and go as deeply into this understanding as you wish, so I will often recommend stuff for you to read and watch, and occasionally offer additional (paid) content of mine. (Which I would love you to take advantage of, in order to keep the show on the road.) There might also be the odd trusted collaboration. But always with Pledge #1 in mind: Is it going to help YOU? That's what I'm here to do, in a sustainable, and non-icky way.
✅ Write with integrity, honesty & consistency.
I'm a doctor and that bit of the Hippocratic oath—First do no harm—matters to me. I won't BS you, make stuff up, or share anything I haven't seen with my own two eyes. Lots of what I learned at Medical School (especially around mental health) I see now is utter nonsense. That means that some of the things I say may seem quite confronting, or ‘wrong’. But I'm cool with challenging your beliefs and I'm cool with being challenged. Shout at me in the comments if you like, I can handle it. If I make a mistake, I'll fess up.
🚫 Not generated by AI
I've written entire essays on the spiritual aspects of the creative process (d'you see what I did there, with Pledge #2?) so I'm not about to go outsourcing these outpourings of love for you, to our robot overlords. It's just not a thing. As time goes by, AI is becoming omnipresent, so I'm sure I'll mention it. I'm a tech nerd, so I don't shy away from using it either. Just not for writing. The Daily Reminders are sacrosanct. Human Connection in the Artificial Age, indeed.
✅ Retain a lighthearted tone.
If you look to popular spiritual teachers, aside from the fact they're all saying the exact same thing, you'll notice they all have something else in common: a great sense of humour! This is because this existence of ours is one big cosmic joke, and if you can't laugh at it, I think you might be missing the point. I will have fun writing these, so that you can have fun reading them, and be at peace with your humanity.
With love 💝 Giles
“Start your day off in reality, instead of heavy thinking!” ~ Richard, USA
